We're invested in the future at Granite State Tang Soo Do. We added the Leadership Program to our curriculum to help students start looking at their life in martial arts, not just their next rank. Students in the program begin teaching others and developing as leaders on and off the mat.
The focus is on developing future martial arts instructors, but the benefits reach much further than that. The confidence to stand in front of a group and explain something clearly, the composure to handle a situation you didn't plan for, the awareness to notice what another person actually needs — those show up in job interviews, classrooms and families for the rest of a student's life.
Leadership candidates run portions of class under the supervision of our instructors. They learn curriculum from the teaching side, get real-time feedback, and gradually take on more responsibility as they earn it.
It's also the pathway to being certified by the federation as an instructor; a credential that means something well beyond our four walls.

I’ve been going here for about 8 months now and it’s fantastic! Great people and great training! Good for kids, adults, teens, etc. - all ages. I’ve been doing martial arts for almost 30 years and this is one of the good ones! Great mix of tradition, discipline, techniques, drills, and practical application.
If you're looking for a karate studio, this place is highly recommended. The instructors here are exceptional, great at teaching both kids and adults. It's an excellent spot to learn self-defense, boost your confidence, and improve your self-esteem. Plus, it's a good workout and can turn into a fantastic family activity. Master Burns and Mrs. Burns started training after their daughter, Ms. Burns, began her lessons. Now they all teach together.
Granite State Tang Soo Do is an outstanding martial arts school with a phenomenal instructor and an amazing team of black belts. They create a welcoming environment while teaching discipline, respect, confidence, and valuable self-defense skills. If you’re looking to get in shape, build character, and learn from experienced instructors, this is the place to be. My daughter loves going to class every weekend. Master Burns is great with the kids and they learn very fast. Strongly recommend to anyone with a child interested in martial arts.
